About Bluecopa

Bluecopa is an AI-native finance operations platform that automates Record-to-Report (R2R), Order-to-Cash (O2C), and Procure-to-Pay (P2P) on a single unified data spine — so finance teams close faster, reconcile at scale, and run on real-time, trustworthy numbers. We exist to bring finance into its next age of tooling, and eventually make it autonomous.

About the Role

We are looking for a mid-level Solution Engineer to join our team, focusing on building, optimizing, and integrating sophisticated user interfaces for our data-driven products, analytical workbooks, pipelines, and workflow automation tooling.

This is a UX-heavy developer role requiring deep product empathy and technical maturity. You will not just build interfaces; you will architect complex, config-driven frontend systems that connect cleanly to enterprise backend services, managing real-time customer data at scale.

Key Responsibilities

  • UI/UX Architecture: Build scalable, modular UI components and complete feature workflows using ReactJS and TypeScript.
  • Design & Usability Engineering: Translate complex Figma designs into faithful, high-performance, pixel-perfect, and responsive interfaces while adhering to accessibility standards.
  • Advanced API Integration: Seamlessly integrate front-end architectures with backend APIs (REST/GraphQL), optimizing state management, data fetching, and handling complex asynchronous data states (loading, errors, polling, and empty states).
  • Data Interface Engineering: Design and implement highly performant data grids, interactive charts, dynamic forms, and config-driven user interfaces optimized for heavy financial data workflows.
  • Code Craftsmanship: Drive frontend code quality by writing strongly typed, maintainable, and reusable code. Participate actively in code reviews and mentor junior engineers on best practices.

Required Qualifications

Technical Requirements

  • Core Stack: 3–4 years of production-grade experience engineering web applications using JavaScript and TypeScript.
  • React Ecosystem: Strong, hands-on mastery of ReactJS, including deep knowledge of custom hooks, context, lifecycle management, and performance optimization techniques.
  • Styling & Layouts: Advanced knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, responsive layout patterns (Flexbox, Grid), and utility-first frameworks like Tailwind CSS.
  • Data Integration: Proven experience consuming RESTful or GraphQL APIs, handling complex payloads, state management, and asynchronous operations using tools like Axios, React Query, or Redux Toolkit.
  • Data Presentation: Prior experience working with complex frontend data components such as high-performance data tables/grids (e.g., AG Grid, TanStack Table) or visualization libraries (e.g., Recharts, Chart.js).
  • Tooling & Version Control: Solid experience with modern bundlers (Vite, Webpack), package managers, and advanced Git workflows (branching, merging, resolving conflicts).

Product & Problem Solving

  • Eye for Detail: A strong design instinct with a focus on polished micro-interactions, smooth transitions, and intuitive user experiences.
  • Comfort with Enterprise Data: Ability to understand complex financial user workflows and translate them into simple technical solutions.
  • Autonomy: Proven ability to own frontend modules end-to-end with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)

  • Deep understanding of TypeScript advanced type systems (generics, utility types, conditional types).
  • Unit and integration testing experience using Jest, Vitest, or React Testing Library.
  • Exposure to building data pipeline interfaces, workflow builders, or low-code/no-code configuration dashboards.
  • Prior experience in Fintech, B2B SaaS, or fast-paced startup environments.

What We Offer

  • Competitive compensation package.
  • Opportunity to design and build interfaces that process billions of financial data points.
  • Accelerated career path with direct mentorship from senior engineering and infrastructure leaders.
  • Collaborative, rapid-growth execution environment.
  • Comprehensive health and wellness benefits.

Application questions

5

You'll be asked to answer 5 additional questions when you apply.

  • With 3–4 years of experience, how do you keep React interfaces fast when rendering large datasets, dense tables, or complex forms? What specific techniques do you use to stop lag and unnecessary re-renders? Required
  • How do you cleanly structure your TypeScript code to handle API calls? Specifically, how do you manage complex background states like loading, network errors, and data polling? Required
  • Tell us about a complex data dashboard or workflow interface you built. How did you break it down into clean, reusable components using Tailwind or CSS while keeping it responsive? Required
  • Please note that once you apply, we will be sending a game-based assessment test. The breakdown of the test is 70% aptitude and 30% skill-based, and it will require a dedicated 2-hour time slot. Please let us know your preferred availability to take this assessment so we can schedule it according to your preference. (Below is the example) Required
  • Referred by an employee or agency? (Please specify name, if any)
