Much of this role's work happens directly on or around the Bluecopa platform, building and delivering data solutions for clients. A willingness to go deep on our platform and its technical capabilities is essential to success.

Role Summary

We are looking for a highly dependable Manager for the Data Practice at Bluecopa who can act as a strong backup for the data function and take complete ownership of day-to-day delivery with minimal to no supervision. Leadership should be able to rely implicitly on you to manage priorities, lead the engineering team, solve roadblocks, and keep execution moving smoothly.

This is a client-focused, hands-on leadership role. Ground situations change fast with enterprise clients; you will need to operate with quick turnarounds, adapt to dynamic requirements, and keep clients confident even when the picture shifts mid-engagement. We need someone practical, highly accountable, and completely comfortable with ambiguity.

Key Responsibilities

• End-to-End Delivery: Own and drive data initiatives from planning to final delivery; act as a dependable second-in-command for the entire data function.
• Team Management: Manage day-to-day operations across data engineering, analytics, BI, and reporting tracks. Lead, mentor, review work, and enforce high accountability.
• Client Engagement: Serve as a primary technical point of contact for client teams, responding to evolving requirements with fast turnarounds.
• Dynamic Prioritization: Adapt delivery plans and priorities to shifting on-the-ground client situations without sacrificing discipline or quality.
• Problem Solving: Identify technical or structural blockers early and solve problems independently before they escalate.
• Stakeholder Management: Work closely with leadership and internal stakeholders (Sales, Pre-Sales, Proposal Writers, Marketing), providing clear risk assessments and execution recommendations.
• Technical Support: Participate in architecture reviews, design discussions, and technical decision-making alongside data architects.
• Platform Mastery: Build a deep working knowledge of the Bluecopa platform to implement it natively in customer environments.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: 8 to 15 years of experience in data engineering, analytics, BI, or related fields.
• Leadership Tenure: Minimum 5+ years of experience directly managing engineering teams or leading consulting delivery.
• Technical Depth: Strong hands-on knowledge of SQL, data pipeline architectures, reporting, analytical modeling, and modern cloud data platforms.
• Consulting Background: Proven track record working directly with enterprise clients in a delivery, professional services, or consulting capacity.
• Execution Mindset: Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and multi-priority handling skills.

• Prior exposure to large-scale cloud migration, automated data governance, or compliance tracking initiatives.
