About Bluecopa
Bluecopa is an AI-native finance operations platform that automates Record-to-Report (R2R), Order-to-Cash (O2C), and Procure-to-Pay (P2P) on a single unified data spine — so finance teams close faster, reconcile at scale, and run on real-time, trustworthy numbers. We exist to bring finance into its next age of tooling, and eventually make it autonomous.
Our clients are security-conscious organizations with demanding InfoSec and compliance teams. Deployments often involve client VPCs, private connectivity, and strict data residency and isolation requirements. This role sits at the intersection of architecture, application security, and information security, and is central to winning and retaining enterprise trust.
Role Summary
We are looking for a Technical Architect at Bluecopa who can own the security and architecture story for our enterprise deployments. This is a client-facing role. You should be able to walk into a client conversation and clearly articulate the system view, networking view, and deployment view of our platform, and answer hard questions about how data remains secure, how integrations happen, and how our architecture fits into the client's environment.
The person in this role needs to handle security questionnaires, architecture reviews, and InfoSec assessments with fast turnarounds, and adapt to each client's specific environment and constraints.
Key Responsibilities
- Architecture Narrative: Own the end-to-end architecture narrative for enterprise deployments, covering system, networking, and deployment views.
- Data Security Design: Design and document how customer data remains secure in client VPC and hosted deployment models, including encryption at rest and in transit, key management, isolation, and access control.
- Secure Integration Patterns: Architect secure integration patterns with client systems such as ERPs, data warehouses, file transfer, and APIs, covering authentication, authorization, network paths, and data flow.
- InfoSec Assessments: Lead responses to client security questionnaires, architecture reviews, VAPT findings, and InfoSec assessments.
- Application Security: Drive application security practices across the engineering team, including secure design reviews, threat modeling, and remediation of findings.
- Topologies & Reference: Define and maintain reference architectures and deployment topologies across cloud platforms.
- Client Engagement: Work with client infrastructure, security, and network teams to design and troubleshoot connectivity, peering, and deployment setups.
- Compliance Support: Support compliance and certification efforts such as SOC 2 and ISO 27001 from an architecture and evidence standpoint.
- Cross-functional Alignment: Partner with sales, pre-sales, and delivery teams to address architecture and security topics during deals and implementations.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay current on cloud security capabilities and bring practical recommendations into the platform.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: 8 to 15 years of experience in software architecture, cloud architecture, or security architecture roles.
- Security Principles: Strong hands-on understanding of application security and information security principles and practices.
- Cloud Infrastructure: Deep familiarity with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and working knowledge of others, covering compute, networking, IAM, and security services.
- Enterprise Networking: Proven experience designing deployments involving client VPCs, VPC peering or private link, private networking, and hybrid connectivity.
- Technical Documentation: Ability to clearly explain and document system, networking, and deployment views of a platform for technical and non-technical audiences.
- System Integration: Experience designing secure integrations between enterprise systems.
- Stakeholder Communication: Strong communication skills and comfort engaging directly with client security and infrastructure teams.
What We Are Looking For
- Someone who can be the trusted technical voice in front of demanding enterprise security teams.
- Clarity of thought in explaining complex architectures simply.
- Fast turnarounds on security questionnaires, reviews, and client asks.
- Practical, risk-based judgment rather than checkbox security.
- Comfort with ambiguity and varied client environments.
- High ownership over the security posture of the platform and its deployments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Data architecture experience, including data modeling, pipelines, warehousing, and data governance.
- Exposure to confidential computing, secrets management, and advanced isolation patterns.
- Experience with compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, or GDPR.
- Background working with BFSI or other heavily regulated industries.
- Experience supporting US and India teams in a global delivery setup.
